In Rhode Island, 23 percent of our population is Latino, African-American, Native American, Asian-American, or another racial/ethnic minority. By 2025, that number is projected to increase to over 33 percent.

As Rhode Island becomes a more diverse place, the healthcare needs of our community are changing. Our diversity and inclusion initiative is designed to help us meet those needs by strengthening our relationships with customers, competing for the best available talent, and addressing the unique healthcare needs of our members and the people of Rhode Island.

We support a variety of community organizations and events that promote diversity and inclusion.

Through organizational and grassroots approaches, we’re making diversity and inclusion part of our corporate culture.

Our Supplier Diversity Program proactively increases our base of women/minority business enterprises, helping ensure our suppliers are representative of our community.
